“Hark! The Herald Turkey Gobbles”

by Mike Foster, Nov. 22, 1966 & Nov. 23, 2015

Hark! The herald turkey gobbles

Pilgrims paved their streets with cobbles

Peace on earth and pass the stuffing

Eat till we’re all huffy puffing

Joyful see the turkey rise

Hatchet him between the eyes

Hark! The herald turkey gobbles

Try to rhyme gobbles and you’re bound to have trobbles.

Hark! The herald turkey gobbles

I eats too much, and then I hobbles

To the couch, where there I see

Bears and Packers on teevee

Joyful kiss the pumpkin pie

Another slice?  Why, don’t ask why.

Hark! The herald turkey, whee!

Breasts for you and thighs for me.

Deck The Plates With Gobs Of Turkey

By Mike Foster, Nov. 18, 2016

Deck the plates with gobs of turkey.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Eat until your eyes are murky.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob

Peace on earth and pass the gravy.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob.

Eat enough to feed the Navy.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Do save room enough room for pie.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Whipped cream it to kiss the sky.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Slosh it down with more white wine.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob.

One more plate and we’ll all feel fine.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

See the blazing fire before us.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Badenov’s first name is Boris.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.

Champagne toast will top the cherry.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob.

We eats, we drinks, and we are merry.

Gobble, gobble, gobble, gob gob gob gob.
